Green Construction Trades Course
HIRED’s Green Construction Trades Course covers a variety of topics that give students exposure to various aspects of today’s construction industry. The course is designed to give students in-demand green construction skills that will make them excellent candidates for career pathways in the building trades. Whether you want to learn construction basics or expand an existing set of skills, the Green Construction Trades Course will give you marketable skills you need to advance your career.

Minneapolis Saint Paul TechHire Initiative
In response to the rapid growth in tech jobs in the Minneapolis Saint Paul region, the City of Minneapolis along with three high-quality accelerated learning programs: PRIME Digital Academy, Creating IT Futures Foundation – IT Ready, and The Software Guild came together with 150 regional employers with the purpose of training and placing diverse workers into tech careers. Communication, Design, and Developer Training
Asian Media Access  is planning a 13-week "Let's Get IT" Training. Classes will begin in October and run 1-2 days per week in the evenings for 3 hours per session. The focus will be web and application development (programming). A preliminary assessment is needed to determine the level of readiness of individuals.

Open Lab: Use the computer lab to search for a job. LSS has computers, printer, scanner, fax machine, pens, paper and a phone for your job search related use. You can also schedule one-on-one resume assistance.

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training administers a variety of employment and training programs under the direction of the Mayor, City Council, and Minneapolis Workforce Council. To learn more about specific programs click on the following links:

    Assistance finding a job for low-income, Minneapolis residents ages 18 and older.
  • Minneapolis Youth Works
    Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.

    Comprehensive services for those who have lost their job through no fault of their own for adult ages 18 and older.
