Training Opportunities

American Workshop
There is still space to join the Introduction to Construction and Building Trades (ICBT) program starting on February 16. After completion of pre-requisite classes on February 16th and 17th, students can take the remaining 14 classes, in any order (the 2016 calendar will be online soon), in order to graduate. All students must take and pass all 16 classes for graduation. Registrations will be taken until noon on February 11, or until the class is full.

Free Creating IT Future’s Women-Only Class
Creating IT Futures’ IT-Ready career program will have a women-only classes this spring. IT-Ready includes an eight-week, full-time classroom training program that covers a technical computer curriculum geared toward the CompTIA A+ certification. In addition, participants learn professional skills to ensure their success for the interviewing process and on the job.

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be an American citizen or permanent resident
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Live in Minneapolis

Application Deadline: March 25, 2016
Class starts: Monday, April 11th
Class ends: Friday, June 3rd
Class runs Monday to Fridays from 9:15am to 3:45pm at the EMERGE Career & Technology Center
