After seven years as ECLDS lead, Jen Verbrugge is transitioning to a data role at the Minnesota Department of Education, where she will administer the MDE-ORG data system.
Since January 2019, Jen has led the expansion of ECLDS data partnerships, enhanced public reports and resources, and increased the system’s visibility across Minnesota and nationally as a model early childhood integrated data system.
“It has been an honor to build so many treasured relationships through my work on ECLDS, and I look forward to watching the system continue to grow and provide insights under its new leadership,” Jen said.
Jen’s last day was Feb. 10. She will remain with the State of Minnesota and her email address will stay the same. She looks forward to continuing the many valued connections she has built over the years.
The ECLDS lead position is expected to be posted in the coming weeks on the State of Minnesota job search portal.
ECLDS welcomed a new research scientist on Jan. 28. Jeff Knudsen joins DCYF from Abt Global, where he spent four years providing data-focused technical assistance to teams at the Health Resources and Services Administration, the U.S. Department of Education and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Jeff brings more than 20 years of experience in social service programs, data analytics and cross-agency collaboration to improve data and service delivery.
As ECLDS research scientist, Jeff will conduct complex research and data analysis to better understand the characteristics and experiences of Minnesota’s youngest children and families who use public programs and services. He will also serve as the primary point of contact for ECLDS data questions and concerns among data contributors and program staff.
Jeff can be reached at eclds.support@state.mn.us.
