Minnesota licensed family child care providers can access the Provider Hub to manage their Child Care Assistance Program information.
- If you had a pending or active registration with the Minnesota Child Care Assistance Program in July 2025, then the state of Minnesota created an account for you. To log in for the first time, follow these instructions Provider Hub: Reset Provider Hub Password. Your username is the email child care licensing has on file for you.
- All other family child care providers can request access to the Provider Hub by emailing their request and license number to ccap.providers.dcyf@state.mn.us. Do not create your own Provider Hub Account.
Minnesota licensed family child care cannot use the Provider Hub to manage licensing or Great Start Compensation Support Payment Program information.
Starting October 1, 2025, legal nonlicensed providers registered for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) must complete at least two hours of training each year if they care for unrelated children. Approved training is available through Develop. To register for approved training, visit the Develop website, DevelopToolMN.org or call 888-291-9811. Courses are available in face-to-face and online versions may be available in Spanish, Hmong and Somali. For assistance, contact the CCAP Provider Support Team at CCAP.Providers.DCYF@state.mn.us or 651-431-4848.
Come and meet your Provider Support Specialists!
We will be tabling and presenting at the following events:
- September 20th: St. Louis County's Super Saturday FCC Training Appreciation & Social Event at the Cotton Town Hall in Cotton, Minnesota
- October 17th - 18th: Shaping the Future Conference at the Park Event Center in Waite Park, Minnesota.
This week, the Child Care Assistance Program will be sending you a very short survey asking about a specific payment practice. We’d love to know: do you charge parents the difference between the CCAP rate and your private pay rate, in addition to the parent copay?
This information will be used to update our Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) Plan. Your input is also essential to help us understand what strategies programs are using when the CCAP rate is lower than tuition, and how our policies can better support families and providers.
Your responses will be kept confidential and reported only in summary. By sharing your experience, you will help ensure that future policies better reflect the real costs of providing quality care.
Please feel free to reach out to Amanda Ward with any questions.
