2014 Broker Licensing Notification

You are receiving this email because your email address is associated with an active real estate broker’s license at the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

If you are the Primary Broker, you are responsible for renewing licenses and verifying continuing education compliance. Please review the 2014 License Renewal Overview section on the Commerce site for detailed renewal instructions and continuing education information.

It is the Primary Broker’s responsibility to renew all of the licenses that are up for renewal and associated with your company before 4:30 PM Central time on 6-30-2014 on www.pulseportal.com. You will need your user name and password in order to renew licenses. If you do not know your user name and password, please contact Pulse Support for assistance at 1-866-274-4756.

It is the Primary Broker’s responsibility to update addresses and email addresses for individuals associated with your company. You can update this information directly on www.pulseportal.com by clicking the “Change Your Address” link. Please refer to MN Statute 45.0112 for important information about addresses and email addresses.

It is the Primary Broker’s responsibility to provide individuals associated with your company a copy of their license. You can print the licenses directly on www.pulseportal.com by clicking the “Print Your License” link.

Commercial-only salespersons who are exempt from the module and agency law/fair housing CE requirements must submit an exemption request form before the renewal deadline or the license will lapse. This form must be submitted by all qualified commercial-only licensees each year.

RESIDENT BROKERS: It is the Primary Broker’s responsibility to verify that all of the individual licenses associated with your company are CE-compliant. Individuals can check their CE compliance on www.pulseportal.com by clicking on the “Review your CE Transcript” link. If a course has been completed but is not listed on the CE transcript, you will need to contact the course provider for assistance. The Department of Commerce cannot assist you with this issue. All completed continuing education must be uploaded by the course provider.

NONRESIDENT BROKERS: It is the Primary Broker’s responsibility to verify that all of the individual licenses associated with your company are CE-compliant.

All nonresident salespersons and brokers up for renewal this year (including those from Colorado and Wisconsin) must email course completion certificates for at least 30 hours of continuing education and the required module course(s) to licensing.commerce@state.mn.us  before the renewal deadline or the license will lapse. Please put “Real Estate Renewal” in the subject line.

All nonresident salespersons and brokers up for renewal this year who are reciprocally licensed in Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, or Oklahoma must email a current Letter of Certification from their resident state to licensing.commerce@state.mn.us before the renewal deadline or the license will lapse. Please put “Real Estate Renewal” in the subject line.
