Guidance for Collection Agencies

Collectors Working from Home

The Commerce Department sent this temporary regulatory guidance to all collection agencies who are required to license all branches where their collectors work.

License Renewal

License renewal applications will be accepted starting in early May and are submitted online. The deadline for renewal is June 30. Commerce strongly recommends that you renew your license at your earliest opportunity.

Commerce Customer Support

In the short term, individual questions are best directed to licensing.commerce@state.mn.us. Commerce staff are responding as soon as possible to written inquiries from all regulated license types.

PULSE Customer Support

PULSE Customer Support continues to be available via telephone (1-866-274-4756), but under the current circumstances, responses may be received sooner when questions are submitted via email to pulse_support@pearson.com.

Application Submission and Review

Standard application submission and review procedures have not changed and continue as usual. Applications are reviewed in order by the date that a complete application is received.
