License Renewal

License renewal applications continue to be accepted and are submitted online Renewal applications are available 60 days before your renewal deadline. Individual producers and adjusters are strongly urged to complete renewal requirements and renew their licenses at the earliest opportunity during their specific renewal period. 

Fingerprinting

As part of test center closures, fingerprinting at test centers has also been temporarily suspended. To fulfill the legal requirement to submit fingerprints, individuals will need to go to a local police station or similar facility with manual fingerprinting capability to have their fingerprints taken manually. 

Individuals can visit the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to get fingerprinted and should call 651-793-2410 to make an appointment. 

Prelicense Examinations

As of March 16, Pearson Vue has closed all of its company-owned testing facilities in the United States and Canada through April 16. Test candidates with scheduled appointments will be notified of their cancellation by Pearson Vue and provided with information on how to reschedule a new appointment after April 16. Candidates whose exams are canceled as a result will receive a refund. 

Some testing facilities not owned by Pearson VUE may be temporarily closed. Get current information regarding the status of testing facilities and any procedural changes.

Continuing Education

Continuing education courses continue to be offered by Minnesota-approved providers, both in person and online. Some traditional classroom courses may be canceled; please contact the education provider directly for additional information. Search for courses.

Application Submission and Review

Standard application submission and review procedures have not changed and continue as usual. Applications are reviewed in order by the date that a complete application is received.

In the short term, individual questions are best directed to licensing.commerce@state.mn.us. Commerce staff are responding as soon as possible to written inquiries from all regulated license types.  

Sircon Customer Support

Sircon Customer Support continues to be available via telephone (1-877-876-4430), but under the current circumstances, responses may be received sooner when questions are submitted via email (plmsupport@vertafore.com) or via the Sircon website and clicking on Support in the top right corner.
