You’re Invited! DNR Introduces All-Terrain Track Chairs to MN State Parks

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is partnering with the Minnesota Council on Disability (MCD) and local government to expand access to parks and trails throughout the state.


WHAT:

You are invited to try out a Track Chair at Myre-Big Island State Park. Track Chairs enable visitors with mobility disabilities to explore non-accessible trails and other areas within state parks. Visitors, service providers, and others can try out the new Track Chairs at this event.

Light refreshments will be available. Masks are recommended, this event is free and open to the public.

The event will include remarks by:

  • DNR Commissioner Sarah Strommen
  • MCD Executive Director David Dively
  • Staff from Myre-Big Island

  • Hormel Nature Center
