Construction update

CenterPoint Energy is committed to providing safe and reliable natural gas service that makes life's moments possible. This effort includes maintenance and modernization of our infrastructure.

Efforts to move indoor gas meters outside began last week in the Como Neighborhood of Minneapolis. A crew will continue to move through the area, scheduling appointments with customers who have indoor meters. Some properties will receive service line replacements or meter upgrades as well.

Beginning in the week of June 16, construction on the streets shown in red below will begin. In these areas, the natural gas main under the road will be replaced using modern materials and procedures.

Please note that additional work has been added to the scope of this project, and sections of gas main will now be replaced on 12 Avenue SE between East Hennepin Avenue and Como Avenue SE as well as on 11 Avenue SE between East Hennepin Avenue and Como Avenue SE.
