Construction update 

CenterPoint Energy is committed to providing safe and reliable natural gas service that makes life's moments possible. This effort includes maintenance and modernization of our infrastructure. The following is an update on construction efforts in the Jordan Neighborhood.

Natural gas main and service line construction on Knox Avenue and Logan Avenue is complete. Restoration efforts remain and will begin in a few weeks. Until then, you may see temporary restoration on roads, sidewalks, boulevards and lawns.

Service work within the Jordan West project scope will wrap up early this week, as shown in blue on the map below. A new crew will come on site in the next week and will begin to install sections of modern steel gas main, as shown in green below. Steel main installation requires a trench to be opened in the road and may result in increased noise levels as well as the presence of dust. Additional information will be provided as this phase in construction begins.
