Construction update

CenterPoint Energy is committed to providing safe and reliable natural gas service that makes life's moments possible. This effort includes maintenance and modernization of our infrastructure. The following is an update on the status of construction efforts in Hopkins. 

Work to install the new gas main in Hopkins is expected to be complete by Friday, April 18. The main crew will perform temporary restoration at the intersection of 9th Avenue North and 3rd Street North as well as 9th Avenue North and 2nd Street North.

Following the completion of gas main work, a service crew will be in the area replacing and connecting service lines to the new main. If you have an indoor gas meter, a time will be scheduled with you to have the meter moved outdoors.

Permanent restoration on all affected areas will be performed a few weeks after all other construction is complete in Hopkins. Until then, you will see temporary efforts to maintain the livability of the area.
