Construction update 

CenterPoint Energy is committed to continually improving the safety and reliability of our natural gas distribution system. The maintenance and modernization of gas mains, service lines and meters are a part of that effort. 

There are multiple crews working throughout the Jordan West project area to complete service work in a timely manner. One crew is on Sheridan Avenue North, moving south from its intersection with Lowry Avenue North. Another crew is finishing work on the northern sections of Upton Avenue North, Vincent Avenue North and Washburn Avenue North with plans to head south on those streets next week.

At this time, we expect a few more weeks of service work, largely in the southern part of the project zone moving forward. If you have been contacted by a CenterPoint employee or one of our contractors to schedule an appointment, please reach out and set up a time to have your meter moved. As we reach the tail end of this project, it is important our customers have their homes connected to the new main.
