Construction update

CenterPoint Energy is committed to providing safe and reliable natural gas service that makes life's moments possible. This effort includes maintenance and modernization of our infrastructure. The following is an update on the status of construction efforts in Hastings. 

Work to install sections of modern natural gas main continues along Great River Road, or MN-316, south of Pine Ridge Road. The crew plans to cross Oxley Avenue as well as 193 Street South today, April 15, 2025.

East bound traffic on MN-316 continues to be affected by lane closures with flaggers present and reduced speed limits. We expect these impacts to be present for the next week

A service crew plans to come on site next week to begin replacing service lines and connecting existing lines to the new main. Customers with indoor gas meters will be contacted to schedule their meter move at that time.
