What will CenterPoint Energy do?

Beginning Monday, October 14^th, 2024, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will begin installing a natural gas main under the north sidewalk of West 36^th Street between Pleasant Avenue South and Nicollet Avenue South.

Parking will be restricted on the north and south side of West 36^th Street between Pleasant Avenue South and Nicollet Avenue South, and the north sidewalk will be closed. On October 15^th and 16^th, West 36^th Street will be closed, heading south, at its intersection with Blaisdell Avenue South. Detour routes will be available at Nicollet Avenue South and West 38^th Street.

Later that week, starting on October 17^th, 2024, a natural gas main will begin to be installed under the north sidewalk of West 38^th Street between Pleasant Avenue South and Pillsbury Avenue South.

Parking will be closed on the north and south sides of West 38^th Street between Pleasant Avenue South and Pillsbury Avenue South, as will the north sidewalk.

Gas main installation in this area is anticipated to be complete by the end of the week of October 21^st. Services will follow, and a few weeks after the completion of services restoration will occur.
