What is the crews’ progress?

Crews from Michels Corporation, a CenterPoint Energy authorized contractor, have been replacing natural gas lines in CenterPoint’s infrastructure in the Victory Neighborhood. One crew has replaced the natural gas mains along the following streets:

• Xerxes Avenue N. from Osseo Road to Zenith Avenue N.
• Washburn Avenue N. from Osseo Road to Victory Memorial Drive
• Vincent Avenue N. from Osseo Road to Victory Memorial Drive
• Upton Avenue N. from Osseo Road to Victory Memorial Drive
• ​Victory Memorial Drive from Vincent Avenue N. to Osseo Road

Another Michels Corporation crew has been moving inside meters outside by appointment and replacing and/or reconnecting service lines to the new mains. They have been working on the following streets:

• Vincent Avenue N. from Osseo Road to Victory Memorial Drive
• Upton Avenue N. from Osseo Road to Victory Memorial Drive
• ​Victory Memorial Drive from Vincent Avenue N. to Osseo Road

By the end of October, they anticipate finishing their work on these streets in addition to Xerxes Avenue N. from Osseo Road to Zenith Avenue N. and Washburn Avenue N. from Osseo Road to Victory Memorial Drive.

During this time, parking will be closed on both sides of the affected streets between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The crews do not plan to close roads. Traffic will remain open.
