What is the crews’ progress?

Below is the anticipated schedule for early July for the natural gas line replacements in CenterPoint Energy’s project in Central Neighborhood:

Three crews from Michels Corporation, a CenterPoint Energy authorized contractor, are continuing to move inside meters outside by appointment and replace some natural gas service lines. One crew finished most of the homes on Columbus Avenue S. from Lake Street E. to 36th Street E. Three crews are currently working on the following streets for the next few weeks: Oakland Avenue S. from Lake Street E. to 31st Street E., 3rd Avenue S. working south from Lake Street E., and 5th Avenue S. from 31st Street E. to 33rd Street E.

During this time, one sidewalk will be closed at a time. Parking will be closed on both sides of the blocks where the crews are working. For more details on what to expect during this work, please visit our web page here.
