What is the crews’ progress?

CenterPoint Energy’s steel main replacement on Lake Street between James Avenue and Dupont Avenue is finished. Any further closures in this area will be for Metro Transit’s B-Line Project. Check out their website for more details.

For CenterPoint’s service line and meter work on Lake Street between Drew Avenue S. and Hiawatha Avenue, we appreciate your patience as our work progresses. A Michels Corporation crew has completed work on the service lines and meters of several properties on the south side of Lake Street between Dupont Avenue S. and Fifth Avenue S.

Our work is paused while Metro Transit conducts their work in this area. We expect to restart work this summer, but schedules are subject to change. We will provide updates to businesses and property owners prior to resuming work. We anticipate resuming work on the north side of Lake Street between Dupont Avenue S. and Fifth Avenue S. and between Nicollet Avenue and Portland Avenue.
