What is the crew’s progress?
A crew from Michels Corporation, a CenterPoint Energy authorized contractor, anticipates replacing the large-diameter natural gas steel main on Minnetonka Boulevard between Joppa Avenue and France Avenue by late June. This is for Phase 1 of 2 of CenterPoint Energy’s natural gas line replacement project in St. Louis Park.
For most of the project, there will be lane shifts in each direction on Minnetonka Boulevard and County Road 25 from France Avenue to Huntington Avenue.
For approximately one or two weeks in late June at a time to be determined, the crew will close the northwestern portion of the intersection of France Avenue and Minnetonka Boulevard:
- During this time, drivers heading south on France Avenue will be detoured to Sunset Boulevard and Inglewood Avenue to Minnetonka Boulevard.
- The driving entrances and exits to and from Mulberry’s Dry Cleaners and Laundry will remain open.
- Traffic heading west on Minnetonka Boulevard will be reduced to one lane.
- The sidewalks will remain open in this area.
