What is the crews’ progress?

A crew from Michels Corporation, a CenterPoint Energy authorized contractor, finished replacing all the natural gas lines within one of CenterPoint Energy’s natural gas line replacement projects in Golden Valley. Work was completed on the following streets:  

• Wisconsin Avenue N. from 23rd Avenue N. to Westbend Road
• Orkla Drive from 23rd Avenue N. to Westbend Road
• Valders Avenue N. from 23rd Avenue N. to Winnetka Heights Drive
• Winnetka Heights Drive from Orkla Drive to Valders Avenue N.
• Westbend Road from Wisconsin Avenue N. to Valders Avenue N.
• ​Duluth Street from Wisconsin Avenue N. to Winnetka Avenue N.

Remaining work will include restoration efforts from Q3 Contracting, a CenterPoint Energy authorized contractor, within the next few weeks outside the limits of the City of Golden Valley’s Pavement Management Program.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Until areas are restored to their original condition, residents may see temporary backfill such as dirt, gravel, or asphalt. Boulevards and lawns will receive black dirt, grass seed, and netting that degrades over about four months. Residents are encouraged to water as needed.
