What will CenterPoint Energy do?

This spring and summer, CenterPoint Energy’s authorized contractors will replace some of the lines in CenterPoint Energy’s natural gas infrastructure in Fridley. The pipes used in these pipeline replacement and modernization projects are more resistant to corrosion and leakage, helping us continue to provide the safe, reliable service you count on that keeps you comfortable in your home.

Typical impacts during steel main replacement may include noise, dust, and vibrations. Restoration will follow the steel main work. There will be no assessment or cost associated with our work. Below are this year’s projects:

Project 1

From early April into early July 2024, the crews will work along the railroad between 85th Avenue NW and Osborne Road NE.

Project 2

For a few months this summer, the crews will work along the following streets:

• Ashton Avenue NE from 65th ½ Way NE to 67th Way NE
• Crossing the railroad tracks from 67th Way NE to Mississippi Street NE
• 65th ½ Way NE at Ashton Avenue NE
• On the east side of Redeemer Church from 65th ½ Way NE to Mississippi Street NE
• Mississippi Street NE at Ashton Avenue NE
