Hello Chanhassen Residents,
Thank you for the outpouring of support in response to my earlier email. Many of you have asked for the bill numbers to assist with outreach efforts.
There are eight bills under consideration, all of which face broad opposition from member cities, as noted by the League of Minnesota Cities.
The Senate State and Local Government Committee will review four bills on Tuesday, March 25, at 12:30 p.m. The House Elections Finance and Government Operations Committee will consider the House versions in the coming days (date not yet posted). These bills would significantly limit city zoning and land use authority:

SF 2231 / HF 2140 – More Homes Right Places Act

SF 2286 / HF 2018 – Transforming Main Street Act

SF 1268 / HF 1309 – People Over Parking Act
