Summer is the perfect time to explore, enjoy a meal together, and have fun learning. Take advantage of our fun summer programming! Here are the highlights.
Day Trip: A Taste of Italy & Acrobatic Thrills - Circus Juventas/Bucca de Beppo, Aug. 10
This is NOT your childhood lion, tiger, & bear circus but is a multi-generational outing for age 12 & older! Under 18 requires a responsible adult to register & attend. Circus Juventas is a unique homegrown acrobatic extravaganza in St. Paul, featuring local student athletes who will surprise and amaze you with wire-work, aerials, gymnastics, thrills and more (but NO circus animals or silly clowns!) Your coach bus leaves from the Chan Rec Center to Bucca de Beppo for a fabulous, Italian buffet lunch. Then, heads over to the 1pm Cirque du Soleil style show. Our bleacher seats are accessible ground level, or one easy step up. A 75 minute performance. Fee is all inclusive: transportation, lunch, show, gratuities and taxes. $82

Food and Fun
FREE Lions Club Picnic at Lake Ann Park, Tuesday, June 27, 11:30am-1:30pm. Active Older Adults ages 55+ are invited to enjoy grilled burgers, hotdogs and summer sides, served up by enthusiastic Chanhassen Lions Club volunteers! Dinner with the Mayor, Thursday, June 29 (NOTE the date change!) 5:00pm, $12. Senior Center. Enjoy a delicious picnic-style dinner of chicken and all your favorite sides as we dine with Mayor Ryan. After dinner, hear about Chanhassen updates and ask your questions. Then go outside to enjoy the 7pm Northern Winds Concert Band on City Plaza. County Fairs: A MN Tradition, with speaker Doug Ohman and local 4H students. Thursday, July 13, 10am-1pm, $12. Senior Center and Plaza. Show up between 10-11am to meet local 4H students with their animals (llamas and more!) and projects. At 11am, Doug Ohman presents followed by a summer "Fair" luncheon. Scams, Fraud & Phishing - Oh My! Tuesday, July 11, 2:30-4pm. Tech Partners join with Chanhassen Sheriff's Dept to teach how to avoid scams and fraud, especially related to technology. They will also help you know what steps to take if you have been scammed. Learn how to protect your identity, your devices and your bank accounts. Free. Walk ins welcome
