Pencil Art for Beginners It's never too late to plant the seed of creativity! Artist Anne Beckman, local art instructor for over 30 years, believes everyone has a spark of artistic talent; it just needs to be DRAWN out. Anne finds your hidden creativity, makes learning easy, sparks fun memories, and teaches you how to grow a lifelong hobby. Class fees include all needed art supplies, which are yours to keep. Shades in Gray Pencil Art, Thurs, March 23 - April 6. 10:00-11:30am. Learn the basics of black & white drawing, shading techniques, line definitions, and easy drawing tips. This 3 session class will start the seed of interest in pencil art. Ages 50+. $40 resident / $45 non-resident.

Rainbow Moments: Colored Pencil Drawing, Thurs. April 13 - May 18. Expand your knowledge of shading and lines, and dive into colorful techniques with colored pencils. You'll take it one step at a time, working through basic structure and finishing with a beautiful piece of art. Ages 50+. $75 resident / $80 non-resident.
Dig Deep with Adventure Filled Days
Sunday Symphony at Orchestra Hall - Sunday, April 16, 12:30-5:30pm. It's a Sunday ride first to lunch at Q.Cumbers Buffet in Edina, then to Orchestra Hall where the Bloomington Symphony performs an amazing season finale of Bethoven's Symphony in D-major. Treasure Island Casino - Tues, April 25, 8:15am-4:30pm. Enjoy a beautiful spring ride to Treasure Island where you can try your luck or simply enjoy the scenery with lunch. Each rider receives a $15 slot play on their casino card, plus $3 food coupon for the café or restaurant. Ages 50+ / $28. Register by April 18. Casino Trip

Minneapolis Choir (LeagueAires) Musical Showcase - Monday April 3, 10:30am-12pm. Chan REC Center. FREE. The non-profit, community grown choir will sing, dance, and perform their way into your heart with an upbeat, action-packed performance of Broadway tunes, patriotic melodies & historical standards. They have limited performances every year, and we are fortunate to have booked them for you! Free, but please RSVP Musical Showcase Coffee and morning treats served prior to the show.
Uncommon Facts about Common Birds - Free: Wednesday, April 5, 10:00-11:30am, Chaska Lodge, 1661 Park Ridge Dr, Chaska.
