Clubhouse Connections
Birnamwood Opened – COVID-19 Style Birnamwood’s 2020 season officially began on April 20. Opening was highly anticipated. Birnamwood made some adjustments for the health and well-being of golfers and staff. Those changes made it possible to open quickly after the go-ahead from the State. Welcome to Birnamwood’s 2020 Season – COVID-19 style.
Closed Areas In response to COVID-19, the following areas are closed for the safety of golfers and staff:
- Clubhouse
- Concession Stand
- Ball Washers
- Bunker Rakes
- Club Cleaning Station
Signage Signs were placed around the course to remind people to maintain social distancing at all times. You can be physically closer if you live in the same house as your golfing partner. That is if you really want to…

Birnamwood Beauty
Meticulous planting and maintaining 3,300 annual flowers each year is a job usually taken on by Birnamwood’s wonderful gardener, Jana. Plants are ordered in the winter in preparation the next season.
Then there was COVID-19. That left thousands of flowers in the hands of Mike and Dan who are self-described as “lacking imagination.” They decided to choose the “easiest” locations possible.
That mindset created new gardens at the No. 1, No. 4 and No. 6 tee boxes. The gardens are still magnificent, just a little different. Fear not. Next year the gardens should be back to normal.
