Birnamwood Golf Course Hole 9

Clubhouse Connections

Youth on Course (YOC) is now offered at Birnamwood!
YOC is a program that offers discounted prices for young golfers to get out on the course and is made possible by the Minnesota Golf Association (MGA).

To participate, your child will need to become a member of the MGA. Then they will have access to $5 or under rounds at participating courses nationwide.

Course Conditions

May has been a time of transition at Birnamwood. The course continues to wake up from the long winter each day. The winterkill experienced on some of the fairways is healing nicely. With sunshine,  the damage should be fully recovered by this time next month.

The crew will be aerating, seeding and top-dressing the tee boxes in the coming weeks to get divots filled in and create a better playing surface.

Stumps from the removed trees on Hole 7 have been ground down and will be reseeded soon. Those areas will recover with a few weeks of sunshine.

Staff have been working very hard on the gardens over the last week. On May 13, over 5000 annual plants were delivered and planted. The colors will start to come out the next few weeks.

Course Tips

It’s spring in Minnesota (maybe) and there have been reports of ticks on the course. Please make sure we are checking for ticks after your round.

Lilac bushes at Birnamwood Golf Course

Birnamwood Beauty

The lilac is a wonderful fragrant bush that only is around for a couple weeks. Birnamwood has several areas around the course where golfers can experience the beauty and wonderful aroma of lilacs.
