Happy December! Minnesota Paid Leave begins on January 1, 2026, and there are mandatory steps all employers should follow:
- Tell your employees about Minnesota Paid Leave. Hang the workplace poster with your labor law posters and provide all employees with the notification and document that you have done so.
- Determine how the .88 % premiums will be split between the employer and employee.
- Set up and apply payroll tax for all earnings starting on January 1.
- All employers must designate a Paid Leave Administrator.
- Customize how Minnesota Paid Leave will interact with your workplace.
