After midnight what does your pumpkin turn into? How about changing it into valuable compost?
Pumpkins can be placed in your backyard compost bin or organics recycling cart. If you don’t have a bin or cart, use the free drop off container in Central Park across the street from Brooklyn Park’s Operations and Maintenance facility! Pumpkins can be dropped off between Saturday, November 1 and Monday, November 10.
Pumpkins are also accepted for free at the Maple Grove Yardwaste Site (10300 Maple Grove Parkway).
Pumpkins will be made into compost that will be used to make soil and landscapes healthy.
Residents of Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Crystal and New Hope can drop off pumpkins.
Please remove all candles, candle wax and decorations before disposal.
