District 34B Special Election
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has announced a special election will take place on Tuesday, September 16 to fill the District 34B seat. Part of the City of Brooklyn Park is included in District 34B.

Voting Information
Absentee and early voting is now open for the Special Election for District 34B.
If you received a ballot in the mail from Hennepin County, because of the short timeline, we recommend dropping your completed ballot off in person at city hall.
You can also vote early in person at these locations:

Hennepin County Government Center, 300 S 6th St, Minneapolis (all residents)

Brooklyn Park City Hall, 5200 85th Ave N (Brooklyn Park residents only)
Early Voting Hours (all locations)
- Sept 2–5 (Tue–Fri): 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Sept 8–12 (Mon–Fri): 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Sept 13 (Sat): 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Sept 15 (Mon): 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Pre-register to Vote
Pre-register to vote by September 9 or register at your polling place on Election Day.

September 16, 2025. Polls are open from 7 a.m.–8 p.m.
