Brooklyn Park, MN, August 14, 2025 – In May 2024, the Brooklyn Park Police received a report from Maranatha Christian Academy school administration about an individual secretly videotaping a minor female as she changed clothing for a sporting activity. Maranatha Christian Academy administration connected Brooklyn Park police detectives with that minor victim.
Detectives began an investigation, conducted a search warrant, and seized several electronic devices for forensic examination. This examination resulted in the discovery of criminal sexual abuse material.
On August 12, 2025, Brooklyn Park detectives arrested Jason Gary Polzin. He was booked at the Hennepin County Jail and has been formally charged by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office with interfering with the privacy of a minor under the age of 18.
This is an ongoing criminal investigation, and the Brooklyn Park Police Department is committed to working closely with Maranatha Christian Academy to identify and support any potential victims.
