In May 2024, the Minnesota Legislature approved a BioTechnology Innovation District in the city of Brooklyn Park.
The BioTech Innovation District will further help the city become a hub of regional growth and economic success and is estimated to generate 10,000 new jobs and 3,000 additional housing units.
A Request for Proposals (RFP) has been issued to solicit a consultant to guide the work necessary to create the district. This work will include developing project goals, a project scope and timeline for key deliverables, building a revenue plan for the district and select members and guide the formation of steering committee(s) to provide critical oversight and visioning for the project.
Responses to the RFP are due on Monday, October 4.
