 Recreation and Parks Job Fair
Come learn about job openings and offerings within the Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks Department. You can also apply on-site and interview. The Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks job openings are for those 15-24 years of age.
There will also be an opportunity to meet with other local employers and learn more about their openings. We will continue to update our communication about the event as other organizations confirm their participation.

 Farmers Market Seeking Vendors
Calling produce and craft vendors!
Vendor Applications for the Brooklyn Park Farmers Market are now available.
The market runs Wednesdays from 1-6 p.m., starting July 10 to October 09. Located at North Hennepin Community College parking lot.
Applications are due March 26 at 11:59 p.m. Vendors will be notified of their status by April 12.
 Summer Camp Registration
Registration for summer camps in Brooklyn Park are underway. All camp options are open for registration, this includes our youth camps at the Community Activity Center, Northwoods, Norwood, Willowstone, Teen Camps, and Preschool Camps at Historic Eidem Farm.

 Fee Assistance
Did you know we have fee assistance and scholarships available?
The City of Brooklyn Park provides fee assistance for all residents of Brooklyn Park to participate in programs.
Assistance will reduce fees up to 75% based on income and household size. Additional fee reduction may be available for families experiencing homelessness or for children that are considered wards of the state.
The maximum scholarship amount is $400 per person, per year.
Additional fee assistance is available for Summer Camp and Summer Fusion.
Scholarships are not available for facility use fees, athletic leagues, private lessons, or trips. Learn more HERE.

 Community Youth & Family Anti-Violence Game Night
When: Friday, March 22 Time: 5-7 p.m. Where: Zanewood Recreation Center - 7100 Zane Ave
Will feature board games, card games, video games, food, and raffle prizes. More details will be released closer to the event. This is a FREE community event open to all ages.
 Maple Syruping at the Farm
Have you ever wondered where the syrup you put on your pancakes comes from? Join Farm staff to experience the process of collecting sap from maple trees and turning it into syrup. After, warm up around a bonfire and enjoy a treat with maple syrup!
*Maple Syrup equipment is provided, everyone attending this program must register and pay. Students must be accompanied by a registered adult. $6/participant

Our next FREE movie at the Community Activity Center, 5600 85th Ave N, will be on Friday, March 29. We will be showing Trolls: Band Together! Free popcorn will be served. Guest are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, snacks, and a friend or two!

 Medication Safety with Minnesota Poison Control System
March is National Poison Prevention Month; join us for a presentation from the Minnesota Poison Control System.
Do you take daily prescription medicine or over-the-counter medicine? Do you have youth that visit you?
Come learn how to take medicine safely and how to help keep those you love safe. Learn about the Poison Center, a free, confidential resource and how they can help you! Poison Centers are for everyone!

 SAVE THE DATE: Cops and Teens Basketball
Come out and watch the annual Cops and Teens Basketball Tournament, April 22 from 5-7 p.m. at the Zanewood Recreation Center. We will be joined by former Minnesota Timberwolves player Troy Hudson. We will also have music, concessions, and more!
