Holiday Trees Collected by Garbage Haulers
| |
Remember to have your cart at the curb by 6:30 a.m. Crews have until 6:00 p.m. to finish collection. Make sure your cart is at least three feet away from any objects such as another cart or a mailbox. Place your cart in your driveway or on the boulevard with the handle facing away from the street. Do not put carts in the street.

Have material loose in your cart, never in bags. Plastic bags are thrown in the trash unopened at the sorting facility. Material in paper bags can get stuck inside during compaction on the truck. Meaning it can't be successfully separated at the sorting facility.
Garbage Haulers to Collect Holiday Trees
Check with your garbage hauler for the weeks they will be collecting trees and the disposal requirements.
Many haulers will be running composting trucks to collect trees. Please remove all decorations including tinsel. Because trees may have artificial items on them that won't biodegrade, haulers are allowed to put holiday trees in the trash. Put wreaths and other decor that has metal or fabric in your trash.
