Brooklyn Center Strategic Plan
Brooklyn Center is launching a strategic planning process and needs community input to ensure we develop a plan that represents the priorities of community residents and businesses. Please take a few minutes to respond to the following questions. You can skip any question if you do not have a suggestion. It was several years ago that we did our last strategic plan and we have had changes in leadership and in the City's relationship with our residents. Please help us update the plan so we can all be on the same page regarding our priorities and reflect the City as we are now in 2023.

Renewal of Medical Assistance (Medicaid) and Minnesota Care
Like all states, Minnesota has maintained health care coverage for its Medicaid enrollees during the COVID-19 pandemic during the Public Health Emergency. However, the Public Health Emergency in Minnesota ended on April 1, 2023. This means a return to the standard eligibility procedures which includes an annual eligibility review for anyone who has Medical Assistance (Medicaid) of Minnesota Care (MNCare). Not renewing health coverage can result in unmet health needs, lack of preventive services, over utilization of the emergency department, and increased financial burden for people. It's important to ensure every enrollee renews their coverage to ensure uninterrupted access to health care. Click below to discover what community organizations can do to help spread the word about the renewal process and to encourage community to activate the steps needed to complete the process.
