The BOSW is preparing for the possibility of a state government shutdown on July 1, 2021.
Legislators are meeting regularly during a special legislative session, and state leaders have expressed confidence that a budget will be passed that provides biennial funding for state agencies, including BOSW, beginning July 1, 2021. However, we need to be prepared if that does not happen.
In the event of a shutdown there is the potential that BOSW services could be unavailable beginning July 1, 2021. Online services including online renewals, online applications, online license fee payment, and online license verification will not be available if there is a shutdown. Board staff will also not be available to respond to phone calls or emails.
