Dental Renewal Certificate Display Requirement Not Enforced Until Further Notice
The Minnesota Board of Dentistry is experiencing a print malfunction and is not able to mail out renewal certificates (3.5" X 4.5 "cards) at this time. Please note the following:
- Dental licensees are still required to pay renewal fees and maintain a current license.
- Licensees will not be in violation of Statute 150A.06 Subd.6 (Display of Name and Certificates) for failure to display a license card until the Board is able to produce the cards.
- If you have renewed or paid for duplicates, license cards will be mailed once the system is restored.
-
EDUCATORS – IT IS IMPORTANT TO FORWARD THIS NOTICE TO YOUR GRADUATING STUDENTS. Once applicants are licensed, they will receive an email from the Board notifying them of licensure and assigning a license number. New licensees may begin practice once notified of licensure via email. Please forward this notice to your students and mention during class.
- If the public has questions, please feel free to share this information. Individuals may contact the Board of Dentistry at dental.board@state.mn.us or call 612-617-2250 and dial “0” for the receptionist.
- Free online license verification is available on the following link to the Board’s website: Verify a License. It is often easiest to enter only the first and last name of the licensee to verify. It is not recommended to complete all search fields.
- Update information will be sent via this Gov Delivery messaging system once the Board is able to print cards.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
