Vaccination Information and Required Contact Information Update

Dental professionals will have access to vaccinations soon. The timeline is based on the amount of vaccinations received and the amount distributed to hub sites throughout the state. Some areas will distribute sooner than others. Dentists with hospital affiliations may receive vaccinations sooner due to the hospital vaccination plan. Dental professionals are in the first phase for vaccination in MN, however, are not the first to receive vaccinations in the healthcare worker category (1a). Dental professionals are under subgroup 3 in the healthcare worker category. The timeline for when dental professionals will receive vaccination in their specific geographical area is still being determined at the county level. This is a fluid process and is moving forward. Dental professionals with interest in obtaining a vaccine will have access through their county.

  • Most dental professionals DO NOT need to contact their county to inquire, as the counties will contact dental professionals/practices in their specific county for scheduling when the county is ready to vaccinate individuals in the dental professional group.
  • Please review the attached information and continue to monitor the Board of Dentistry website for updated information regarding specific counties that will require dental professionals to contact the county. Information will be updated on the Board website as it becomes available under COVID 19 resources.
