A community-wide winter clothing drive is taking place now through Monday, November 10. Clothing items can be dropped off at designated drop-off sites throughout Bloomington. No appointment necessary. The FluMist, injectable and the High-Dose vaccine will be available. Please bring your insurance card if you have coverage. Shots will be provided to those without insurance and unable to pay.

A screening of the film Girl Rising will be shown Saturday,
October 11, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church.
Nine ordinary girls from around the globe confront tremendous
challenges and overcome nearly impossible odds to pursue their dreams. Guest
speaker and Somali native, Sherry Mohamed shares her story and the challenges
for girls in Somalia today. The film is recommended for ages 10 and older.
This free event, which is open to the public is hosted by
the Bloomington Human Rights Commission, Oak Grove Presbyterian Church and Room

Non-profit organizations will be on hand to provide ways to become involved in
the fight for girls education.
You are invited to hear the untold stories of five Minnesota immigrants. The Bloomington Human Rights Commission is cosponsoring this event, which is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments will be provided. Come Tuesday, October 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Normandale Hylands United Methodist Church. Register by Tuesday, October 21.
The Annual Veterans Photo Wall will be on display throughout the month of November at Bloomington Civic Plaza and Creekside Community Center. The current collection continues to grow each year and includes over 275 photos of men and women from all branches of service.
