Bloomington calls emergency City Council meeting

Council will consider formal action to consent to the local emergency declaration

The Mayor of the City of Bloomington, Minnesota, has called an emergency meeting of the City Council for 6:30 p.m. on March 16, 2020, in the City Council Chambers, 1800 West Old Shakopee Road, and by other electronic means as permitted by Minnesota Statutes, Section 13D.021. The Special Meeting of the City Council scheduled at 6:00 p.m., on March 16, 2020, is cancelled.

The City Council will be modifying its meeting agenda to receive a Public Health and Emergency Management briefing on COVID-19.  Other than the Consent Agenda, all other agenda sections and scheduled items will be continued to a future City Council meeting. The purpose for limiting the agenda is to conform with MDH and CDC guidelines to minimize gatherings.

Due to the circumstances giving rise to the COVID-19 local emergency, unless you have a reason too attend the meeting, the public is encouraged to watch the meeting electronically online at https://blm.mn/btv-live and on Comcast cable channel 14 SD/859 HD.

As always, public testimony may be submitted to the City Council at citymanager@bloomingtonmn.gov.
