New Canine Influenza Vaccine Outreach Resources for Veterinarians and Clinics

The Minnesota Board of Animal Health is launching a communications campaign to promote canine influenza vaccination on Tuesday, June 20. Case counts have remained steady in the Twin Cities canine influenza outbreak and vaccination is one of our strongest tools to stop the spread. Unfortunately, there was a delay in vaccine supply from manufacturers the past couple months and we were unable to promote this option. With clinic vaccine orders being fulfilled, we feel confident now is the right time to encourage pet owners to visit your clinic for a vaccine. Don't forget to order vaccine today!

With the aim of raising awareness about canine influenza and increasing vaccination rates, we have developed simple and effective materials that we would like to share with veterinary clinics like yours. We would appreciate if your clinic helped spread the message about the importance of canine influenza vaccination and encourage dog owners to schedule an appointment with you for this essential preventive measure. By working together, we can educate the community and make a significant impact on the well-being of Minnesota’s dog population.

Our campaign materials include ready-to-use templates and flyers for you to engage your clients. These resources have been designed to help you communicate the importance of canine influenza vaccination and emphasize the role that veterinarians play in keeping dogs safe from this highly contagious disease. Visit our canine influenza page and find all your materials listed under "Resources for Veterinarians."

Thank you for a moment of your valuable time. Together, let's make a difference in the lives of our furry friends and protect them from canine influenza!
