CPE Earning FAQ
Q: What if I am no longer using my Active status license?
A: You are still obligated to follow CPE rules, until after your status change to inactive, retired, or exempt becomes effective.
Q: Why should I care about my CPE Earning NOW?
A: You are not able to renew your license or change status until you are compliant with CPE requirements, AND CPE late earning fees accrue monthly.
Q: Do I have to report the CPE by June 30?
A: No. You do not need to REPORT until December 31, 2022, or when you renew - whichever comes first. However, you do need to EARN your CPE by June 30. Do not report CPE earned after the June 30 deadline (carryback hours) online. (Minnesota Statutes, section 326A.08)
Q: What should I do if my 2020 and 2021 CPE Reporting in Online Services does not match my records?
A: If there is a discrepancy, you will want to determine why and fix it promptly. If you find that what is listed in Online Services needs to be updated, notify the Board in writing (letter or email) of what exact changes need to be made. You do not need to submit the course certificates unless they are requested by the Board.
