Give the gift of a lasting memorial
this holiday season.
A Memorial Bench is a unique way to celebrate family, friends and important events, while contributing to the beautification of West Bloomfield’s Parks. We have recently completed a park system inventory and have identified dozens of benches in need of replacement. Benches are for sale at the following locations:
- Bloomfield Knolls
- Bloomer Park
- Drake Sports Park
- Keith Sports Park
- Marshbank Park
- Recreation Activities Center (Civic Center Trails)
- Sylvan Manor Park
- West Bloomfield Dog Park
- West Bloomfield Nature Preserve
- West Bloomfield Trail

Winter Solstice
December 21 from 5-7:30 pm at the Recreation Activities Center, ages 3+
Please join us for our annual Winter Solstice Celebration and start a new tradition with your family! Come learn about nature in winter as you explore the half mile, lantern-lit trail. Activity stations will be set up throughout this experience:
- Create a glowing craft
- Oakland Astronomy Club will be guiding you through the night sky with telescopes
- A custom glowing ice carving will be on display for a photo-op
- Warm cocoa and marshmallow roasting
Registration is open for both residents and nonresidents.

Holiday Sing Along
Thursday, December 15 from 1-2 pm at the Recreation Activities Center, ages 50+, free
Come sing some holiday favorites along with Santa and take a holiday photo with him. Enjoy a dance recital by Movement of Dance.
HO-HO-HO hot cocoa and holiday cookies will be provided. Free but pre-registration is required.

DSO Twist and Shout
Friday, January 6 from 9:15 am-1:45 pm, bus departs from the Recreation Activities Center, ages 50+
Twist & Shout celebrates the Beatles in America, following their journey across the country as Beatlemania won the hearts of Americans everywhere. Relive the British invasion with hits like “Love Me Do,” “She Loves You,” and more, accompanied by hundreds of photos.
All seats are on the main floor within the first four rows of the stage. Cost includes round-trip transportation to and from the Max M. Fisher Music Center. There will be no refunds once registered. Bus pickup and return is available for these concerts. Trips will be chaperoned by West Bloomfield Parks Staff.

Holiday Office Closure:
