Hit the trails with your sweetie for Valentine's Day!
Sunday, February 13 from 3:00-4:30 pm at the Recreation Activities Center, ages 18+
Take a guided snowshoe hike through the snow covered forest with your valentine. Listen to the crunch of snow and maybe even the hoot of owls, while you experience the magic of a winter walk. After exploring the forest with your sweetie, get cozy by the campfire and roast a s’more while the Naturalist teaches you the love language of a variety of animals. Snowshoes are provided. No snowshoe experience is needed. A hike will be substituted if there is not enough snow to use snowshoes. Fee is per person. Register early, this event sells out every year!

Firearm Safety: Inside the Home/Basic CPL
Saturday, January 29 from 8 am-5 pm at the WB Police Station, ages 18+
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family. It satisfies all of the training requirements to obtain your Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL). Topics include controlling violent confrontations, firearms and the law. Instructors are full-time officers, NRA and state-certified firearms instructors who have attended some of the top ranked firearms schools in the country. Receive your CPL certification from the experts! Firearm and ammunition provided at no additional cost. Pizza lunch provided.

Black History 101
Mobile Museum
Saturday, February 5 from 12-3 pm at West Bloomfield Township Public Library, all ages welcome
Founded by Dr. Khalid el-Hakim, the Black History 101 Mobile Museum is an award winning collection of original artifacts of Black memorabilia dating from the trans-Atlantic slave trade era and spanning to current hip-hop culture. All ages welcome. Pre-registration encouraged to receive an event reminder and goody bag.

Oil Painting
Thursdays, 2/3-3/24 from 11 am-2 pm at Marshbank Park, ages 18+
Beginners and experienced artists will learn the rules of composition, color theory, value, the use of mediums and how to frame a finished painting. Through demonstrations and individual instruction, you will discover your own unique style. Work from a still life set up, a photo reference or paint what you see outdoors at beautiful Marshbank Park. Supply list available upon registration.
