Senior Harvest Day Lunch

 

Thursday, November 18 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Connect in Orchard Mall, ages 50+

We will be hosting a special Harvest Day Lunch sponsored by Notting Hill Senior Living for area senior citizens. Please join us with family and friends to savor the flavors, colors and calm of autumn with our delicious lunch featuring many of the traditional dishes served on Thanksgiving. After the meal, sit back and enjoy some live music and maybe even a sing a-long. Space is limited so register early. West Bloomfield Parks' Community Transit bus pickup and return is available for this trip.

Yoga for Rejuvenation

 

Tuesdays, 11/9-12/14 from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Community Room at Drake Sports Park

Move yourself to greater health and well-being through a mix of basic yoga and rejuvenating postures with Julie Levinson, Certified Yoga Therapist. Release and clear tension in your body and mind with 30 minutes of invigorating yoga basic yoga postures/sequences followed by 30 minutes of stress relieving yoga postures practiced on the floor incorporating breathwork and mindful meditation for deep relaxation. Bring a yoga mat and blanket or beach towel to class. Pre-paid individual classes available for $15.

Hanukkah Craft Party

 

Thursday, November 18 from 5-8 pm in the Community Room at Drake Sports Park, ages 4-9

If you’re looking for the perfect way to brighten up the winter, come light a menorah with us this Hanukkah season. We’ve got all the glitter and glow you need just in time for the Festival of Lights! In this class, we’ll create a golden menorah with glittery candles that really glow-in-the-dark. You’re going to want to leave this masterpiece hanging on the wall long after the holiday ends!

Outdoor Natural Play Area Open Hours

Visit the Outdoor Natural Play Area (ONPA). The outside space features a sensory garden and natural elements for play, designed to engage children with nature. We invite you and your family to come check out all the ONPA has to offer. Our Naturalist staff will be on hand to answer your nature questions and help you make a craft. There will be additional nature explore stations set-up outside. Best of all - IT'S FREE!! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Pre-registration is no longer required.
