COVID Vaccine Town Hall this Thursday at 9 am

West Bloomfield Township in conjunction with Civic Center TV and Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital will host a Covid-19 Vaccine Town Hall on February 18 at 9:00 am.

The virtual event will be broadcast on Lakes FM 89.3, various community Facebook pages and on Civic Center TV (channel 15 or 99).

Expert panelists will provide an overview of COVID-19 in the community, discuss the safety and efficiency of the vaccines and answer common questions to allow viewers to make informed decisions.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class

Thursdays, 2/18-3/25 from 7:45 to 8:45 pm at Premier Pet Supply in Orchard Mall, ages 18+

Socialization, training, activity and a responsible owner are the four keys to having a happy, healthy and well-behaved puppy. Puppy socialization and training should start as soon as you bring the puppy home. In this class, you will learn how to potty train your dog, how to deal with puppy biting, handling exercises and basic commands. Our trainer will also guide you on how to properly socialize your dog to create a future Canine Good Citizen. At the end of class, you will take a test to earn your puppy the AKC STAR Puppy Award. Recommended for pups 8 weeks to 7 months old.

Nature Littles

Thursday, February 18 from 10:30-11:30 am at the Recreation Activities Center, ages 3-6

Enjoy time with your child as we explore nature. Each month will have a fun theme we’ll discover through hands-on activities, games, hikes and crafts. February's theme: Stranger in the Woods-Who is the stranger in the woods? Let’s find out then create our own.

Please come prepared and dressed to spend the entire program outside. Parents are not required to stay, but may join in the adventure if they wish. Fee is per child, there is no charge for adults.

Snowshoe Rentals this Saturday from 9-11 am

Cost: $6/person, snowshoes must be returned by noon

Saturday, February 20 from 1-2:15 pm at the Recreation Activities Center

Enjoy the winter wonderland on snowshoes. Learn about snowshoes then strap on a pair. Look for animal tracks along the trail. Instruction and snowshoes provided. Dress for the weather (water resistant pants and boots). $7/resident, ages 5+
