………happy birthday dear Michigan, happy birthday to you! Bundle up and help us celebrate the State of Michigan’s 184th birthday, Tuesday, January 26, with parking lot trivia. From the warmth of your car, test your knowledge of Michigan facts - some obscure and notable people too. Lunch to-go, provided by Jagged Fork will feature Michigan-made products: Your choice of a coney hot dog with chili sauce, Krakus Polish ham and Kowalski American cheese sub sandwich, or a vegetation sub sandwich. Better Made potato chips, a can of classic Faygo cream soda pop and a sweet treat will round out your lunch.
Registration deadline is Friday, January 22, by noon.

Our virtual Social circle will be offered on Zoom, until we are able to be together in person. Our January topic will be: Books You Have Been Reading. Bring one suggestion to the group. Either an old favorite or something new you have read.

Free Trial: Virtual Gentle Chair Yoga
Tuesday, January 26 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm
This is a one day FREE TRIAL with Julie Levinson, Certified Yoga Therapist. The full session begins on February 2.
Move yourself to greater health and well-being through a gentle, virtual, chair practice. Focus on the therapeutic benefits of yoga for both body and mind. Improve your balance, strength, flexibility and mobility with this gentle seated class. Attention to breathwork and meditation are included in this mind-body practice.
Yoga Props for Zoom Practice: Suggested that yoga mat be placed under the chair for grip and to avoid slippage. 2 straight back chairs, 1-2 blankets or towels, pillow for back support, tie or strap and 2 yoga blocks or 2 books. No prior experience necessary.
Free Trial: Virtual Chair Exercise
Monday, January 25 from 2:00-3:00 pm
This virtual class, led by Lisa Fein, will help to improve strength, balance and flexibility in both seated and standing positions. Upper, lower body and abdominal muscles will get a workout during this session. Fall prevention techniques will also be discussed. The instructor can help those that have injuries and modify the exercises for all to participate safely. Household items can be utilized for those without weights or bands.
