Calling all plant lovers!

Join us at our free Perennial Swap!

 

Saturday, October 10th from 1:45p-4:00p, ages 18+

We invite you to the West Bloomfield Parks Perennial Swap! Bring full plants, plant cuttings or seeds of a perennial plant you want to swap with another plant enthusiast. There is no limit to the number of plants you can swap! Tickets will be drawn to determine who will pick first. We will have Naturalists available to help you learn about invasive species.

This is an adult only event. No children please.

Fall Bird Walk

 

Tuesday, October 6 from 7-8 am at the West Bloomfield Woods Nature Preserve, ages 10+

Beginner or avid birders alike will enjoy the Naturalist-guided hike through the West Bloomfield Woods Nature Preserve.

We will look at the birds that stay during the winter and some of the ones migrating through. Please bring a pair of binoculars if you have them, we have limited pairs to borrow.

Free Parking Lot BINGO

 

Friday, October 1 from 1:30-2:00 pm at the Recreation Activities Center

Come play BINGO in your car at the Recreation Activities Center's parking lot. This bingo event will be conducted solely for the amusement and recreation for our Connect members. You must be 60 years old or older and a Connect member to participate. You will be given 9 cards to play 3 cards at a time in three rounds of bingo. When you successfully complete a BINGO, honk your horn for a small WB Parks prize. Community Transit bus pickup and return is available for this activity. Can't make it this Friday? We'll be doing Parking Lot BINGO every Friday in October!

chocolate tasting

Virtual Chocolate Tasting

Friday, October 16 from 6-7 pm, ages 18+, $8/person

Celebrate Sweetest Day 2020 with chocolate! In this virtual class, you will be guided through a brief history of chocolate, sample six different chocolates and learn how to appreciate chocolate with all five senses. Individually wrapped chocolates will be provided by WB Parks and are included with registration. Chocolate kits will be available for curbside pick up on Wednesday, October 14 between 5-6 pm at the Recreation Activities Center. The class will be held via Zoom. Limited to residents only. If spaces remain, will open spots 5 days before the class.
