Join us for "Live with Annabelle" this Tuesday!

 

We have a special guest host on the next episode of "Live with Lauren". Annabelle is the newest member of our nature team and she will teach you how to create art using the natural world around you! Explore the colors Mother Nature creates and put them together to make a Nature Mandala. Event will take place on Facebook Live on Tuesday, June 2nd at 11 am.

Nature Mandala Competition:

Following our Facebook live, we invite you to make a Nature Mandala of your own to be entered into our contest. Please email them to araines@wbparks.org. In your email, please include if you are a family submitting a photo or an adult. Pictures should be emailed to Annabelle by the end of the day on Monday, June 8th. Winners will be chosen by our nature staff and announced Wednesday, June 10th. The winner in the adult category will receive some WB Parks swag and the family category will receive a free Adventures with Annabelle: Zoom with a Naturalist program!

Antarctica & South America

 

June 3 from 10-11 am, ages 50+, free!

In this program you will experience fabulous travel destinations without leaving West Bloomfield! In one hour, we will take you to some of the world’s greatest places through wonderful photography, narration and question and answer session. In this presentation, Dan Navarre will share his journey to Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, Argentina and Chile! This program is a great way for those that do the actual travel to share their travel experiences, tips and recommendations with their community. This program is free but pre-registration is required.

Zoom with a Naturalist: Adventures with Annabelle

Gather the family together for a unique, exciting and personal nature experience. Invite a Naturalist into your living room to have a one-on-one virtual nature appointment. Upon registration, choose from a variety of topics to explore with your family and for some topics, what live animal you’d like to meet. Each topic includes activity ideas to do together as a family after your appointment has ended. Price is per household. Only one family per appointment. View all available topics at the link below. Last chance to pre-order your native plants for pick up Sunday is June 5th. 

As native plants are the building blocks of a healthy ecosystem, everything you can buy and plant improves the world we live in. A wide range of trees, shrubs and plants are available to purchase online.

Must have proof of online purchase for curbside pick up.  No sales will be done at Marshbank Park as in previous years.
