Michigan Trails Week Hike

 

Tuesday, September 24 from 6-7 pm at the West Bloomfield Woods Nature Preserve, ages 3+

Join us for Michigan Trails Week! This family-fun game hike is planned to celebrate our wonderful nature trails in West Bloomfield. Explore with our Naturalist all that the West Bloomfield Woods Nature Preserve has to offer. We will be making stops along the trail to play games such as Wetland Bingo, "I Spy" and more! The hike will be approximately 45 minutes. Registration is required for all participants.

Thursdays, 9/12-11/7 from 10 am-12 pm at Schulak Farm

Learn all the fundamentals of drawing with an emphasis on; expressive line, the four basic shapes, proportion shading to show volume, one, two, and three point perspective, drapery, reflective surfaces, rendering heads, hands, positive and negative shapes. There is always individualized instruction. Supply list available upon registration.

CPR

 

Family & Friends CPR

 

Tuesday, September 10 from 6-8 pm at the Recreation Activities Center, ages 14+

Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do NOT need a CPR course certification card. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.

You will learn the lifesaving skills of: adult hands-only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and mild and severe airway block for adults, children and infants.

AKC STAR

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Training 

 

Free Orientation: 9/12 from 8-9 pm

Class: 9/19-10/17 from 8-9:15 pm

Is your puppy ready for school? This will be an informative and interactive orientation to meet our dog trainer Elaine and to try out some of the exercises that will be offered in our AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program, hosted at Drake Sports Park. The orientation is free, but pre-registration is required and mandatory to take the session that follows. You will learn how to potty train your dog, how to deal with puppy biting, handling exercises and basic commands. Our trainer will also guide you on how to properly socialize your dog to create a future Canine Good Citizen. Recommended for pups 8 weeks to 5 months old.
