Pet Adoption Event this Saturday at
the Recreation Activities Center
Come meet dozens of adoptable pets from the area's best rescue and foster groups! We will also have the Nature Room open from 11 am-3 pm for families to explore.

Camp Open Houses

Camp WB
June 11 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Drake Sports Park
Gather with other parents and campers for this great opportunity to meet-and-greet our Camp WB team. You will have the chance to ask questions about our summer program and day-to-day activities. Camp staff will engage your camper in a few fun activities and take them on a tour of our space, both indoor and outdoor.
Nature Camps
June 12 from 6-8 pm in the Nature Room
This event is to welcome families who have signed up for one of our Nature Camps or are still deciding. Your child will be able to meet our camp staff, explore the Nature Room (where camp is hosted), make a craft, play a nature-themed game and also see our live animals! Parents will be able to ask the staff any last minute questions and have the opportunity to learn more about our Nature Camp program.

Junior Sailing Camp
starts June 17th
6/17-6/21 from 9 am-3 pm at the Pontiac Yacht Club (3270 Wards Point Dr), ages 8-15
This camp offers youth sailing instruction for beginners through advanced racers. It is taught on Pontiac Sailing Education Foundation supplied sailboats on Cass Lake by US Sailing Association certified instructors.
The purpose of this camp is to help youth feel comfortable and confident while building sailing skills. This camp will include water safety, parts of a sailboat, wind direction, basic sailing direction and knots. The majority of the class time is spent gaining experience on the water.

DSO Trip: The Wonderful Music of Oz
Friday, June 14 from 9:15 am-1:45 pm, bus departs from the Recreation Activities Center
Defy gravity and follow the yellow brick road on a musical journey over the rainbow. Frank Baum's classic novel, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," took the world by storm, and for over 100 years has inspired storytellers and composers on Broadway (WICKED, THE WIZ), in Hollywood (The Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz) and on the radio ("Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"). Relive all the Wonderful Music of Oz based on the original tale in one magical concert event.
