Enjoy a tractor-drawn hayride at Marshbank Park this fall!

 

October 18 or 19 from 6:30-8 pm at Marshbank Park, ages 3+

Experience the changing seasons at Marshbank Park while enjoying a tractor-drawn hayride. You will learn all about Michigan plants and animals during a few special stops along the hayride route. Under the picnic shelter, delight in cider and seasonal treats, plus create a fall nature craft to take home. This is a family program, all children and adults must register.

Friday, October 5 from 5:30-7 pm at the Recreation Activities Center, ages 3-8

Come join Cinderella & Rapunzel as they host a special party for your favorite girl. The princesses will perform their favorite song and dance with the girls as a group. This party experience will also include some princess training, photo opportunities with both princesses and face painting. Parents must stay for the entire party.

Make Your Own Walking Stick

 

Saturday, October 6 from 10:00-11:30 am in the Nature Room, ages 5+

We will give you everything you need to make and personalize your own hiking stick. Once you are finished with your creation, put it to use on the trails with a short, naturalist-guided hike through the forest.

Quilt Making


Tuesdays, 10/2-11/6 from 10am-12pm at Schulak Farm, ages 18+

If you've always wanted to learn how to quilt, here's your chance. Learn the essential techniques, from start to finish, while making a beautiful Irish Chain (wall hanging or crib size) quilt. You'll use quick rotary cutting and machine piecing. Homework will be assigned. Come to the first class before you purchase your fabric. A supply list will be provided when you register. In order to participate in this class, you must provide your own portable sewing machine.
